The Homeless is a vulnerable population that is in need of help when it comes to medical attention and education. As nurses, we are able to help and assist this population by the different strategies used in cultural competencies today. According to Flowers (2004), “The increasingly multicultural profile of the US population requires that nurses provide culturally competent nursing care” (Culturally Competent Nursing Care, p.48).
